Patrol Challenge: Skit-tastic
Is it time? Yes it is! This challenge is to design, perform, and film if possible, an outdoor air skit. You can use props but as part of the performance, you must include a hat.
Resources Required:
- A hat
- A camera
Individual Challenge #1: Circus Extravaganza
Drum roll please. This challenge is to learn to juggle, hula-hoop, use a balance beam, or any other circus trick. What can you use for circus supplies?
Resources Required:
- Three hand sized-balls, or a hula-hoop, or a log to balance along, or any other circus supplies.
Individual Challenge #2: News Bulletin
This challenge is to create and develop a news story. Report on a real event or make up your own news story, but try and keep it positive! Once you’ve got your story, present it just like the news does.
Resources Required:
- Pen and paper
- Camera and/or news background
Individual Challenge #3: Can you hear me now?
This challenge is to act out a mime, while other people try and guess what it is. Turn it into a game and have all your guessers act out a mime too. Play with your friends, family, or patrol members, and if you can’t see them in person, film yourself acting out a mime and send it digitally to others to try and guess.

- People to guess the mime
- Camera (Optional)
Individual Challenge #4: And Action….
This challenge is to write a script and record a promotional video for Scouts SA. It can be for any section or Scouts as a whole, and can show any activity you can or have done through Scouts. What would you want to see that would encourage you or your friends to join Scouts?
Resources Required:
- Script, on pen and paper or computer
- Camera
- Uniform and props (optional)
Evidence Submission:
To enter the running for this week’s individual prize, an Event cinema giftcard, upload a photo of you completing one or more of the individual challenges to the JotForm. Upload a photo of your patrol attempting the patrol challenge to go in the running for the patrol prize.
