All Units at Flagstaff Hill are now collaborating and sharing ideas online to keep Scouting operating at home.
Zoom is appearing to be the platform of choice which most seem to have got their heads around! A great opportunity to check in where everyone is at and what they’ve been up to as well as run some interactive activities.
The general format that seems to work well is an opening/introduction, check in with how everyone is doing and a couple of activities. It’s also an opportunity for Youth Members to share activities they’ve done at home (maybe a Special Interest Area badge, Outdoor Adventure Skill or something they’ve achieved since last week.
30mins – 40mins seems to work and we’re continue to explore ways that youth members can participate, assist and lead activities – that’s still a work in progress!
