Course information
 
Purpose:
 
The purpose of the combined SP & TP course is to provide training to Scout’s SA members to be able to participate in 4wding activities to that level as set out in Scouts SA Safety Standards & Procedures and aligned with the Australian Adventure Activity Standards – Four Wheel Driving. This will be achieved through the safe planning, doing and reviewing of activities of an adventurous nature in accordance with industry and Scouting best practice.
 
Outcomes:
 
• SISODRV001 – Drive AWD/4WD vehicles on unsealed roads
 
• TLIC2025 – Operate four-wheel drive vehicle
 
• TLIH3002 – Plan and navigate routes
 
• TLIB0002 – Carry out vehicle inspections
 
PREREQUISITES
 
a) 4WD vehicle with UHF radio. Preferably a tire deflator and compressor.
 
b) Submit your 4WD Log book to, Brett Grant: bc.4WD@sa.scouts.com.au
 
c) Completed require Scouts Australia On Demand Modules
