Bushcraft

Scouting bushcraft is a fundamental part of the youth program and is full of many rewarding life skills.  Outdoor Adventure Skills in bushcraft cover a range of introductury skills, fires, navigation by the stars etc. and then develop into streams of Pioneering and Survival

How to make it happen

All scouting activities are subject to Scouting policies and procedures. Adult Leaders are responsible for ensuring the safety of Scouts and the compliance of activities and undertakings with Scouting policies and procedures.

City in the Trees

Build your campsite in the trees at Douglas Scrub!  Selected campsite areas are available with the equipment to build the platforms above the ground.  Suitable for small groups to sleep out under a tarp or erect a self standing tent on the platforms.  The poles, ropes and rope ladders are available for booking.  Some training is required for the supervisors or Leaders prior to using this equipment or an Activity Facilitator can be booked. Girl Guide and Scout units will find this activity a different way to camp.
