Patrol Challenge: Tell me where to go
What’s best to see or do in your local area? This challenge is to in your patrol create a guided tour around your town or area for someone who’s never been. What places would you show someone to eat, parks to visit, or sights to see?
Resources Required:
- Digital, physical, or hand drawn maps OR camera
- Pens and Paper
Individual Challenge #1: Caring and Sharing
It’s nice to spread kindness. This challenge is to make a small care basket, gift or memento, and drop it off to a friend, family member, or other member of your community. Do you know anyone isolating you could give it to?
Resources Required:
- Basket/Box
- Snacks, books, toys, activities, etc, to include in the container
Individual Challenge #2: A B C Walk
Let’s go explore the community. This challenge is to write each letter of the alphabet on a piece of paper, and then go for a walk around your local area. Write down the name of a shop, building, or other unique feature that you pass for each letter of the alphabet.

- Pens and Paper
- Map
- Walking shoes
Individual Challenge #3: Chalktastic
This challenge is to write a positive message about Scouts or in general on your driveway or a footpath.
Resources Required:
- Chalk
Individual Challenge #4: Recognition Time
There’s lots of people that work hard every day to help our local communities. This challenge is to write a thank you card for local community helpers (MFS/CFS, SES, Medical staff, Flying Doctors, etc.) and thank them for all the work they do.
Resources Required:

Pencils, pens, textas
- Paper or card
- Optional: Stickers, glitter, other decorations
Evidence Submission:
To enter the running for this week’s individual prize, a Lantern from Exurbia, upload a photo of you completing one or more of the individual challenges to the JotForm. Upload a photo of your patrol attempting the patrol challenge to go in the running for the patrol prize.
